14 May 2001 The Nation Lists the NI in its Directory

The Nation (est. 1865), arguably the foremost alternative political publication in the U.S., has included the News Insider in its famous Internet Directory. The NI is honored to be featured side by side with alternative news groups such as the New Statesman & Society, AlterNet and the American Prospect.

23 April 2001 New site format and layout launched

Following a period of heavy reorganization and construction, the News Insider is back online with a more flexible format and layout, but with the same passion for collecting and presenting under-reported and censored news from around the world. The site is now updated on a daily basis.

10 January 2001 Defense & Armaments News and NI Focus Launched

The News Insider proudly announces the formal launch of two extra thematic news and analysis categories on its front page. Defense and Armaments News monitors and highlights global developments in the military field, whereas the NI Focus concentrates each week on a particular issue or development. The latter is covered in depth and is often enriched with the editorial contribution of guest writers.
